Fate of the Pune City has been already decided

Though Pune Municipal Corporation has called suggestions and objections for revised development plan for old city limit .The way thing are going, it can be easily said that fate of the same has been already decided. It would not be exaggeration if we say; the way FSI has been increased, norms for the reservations have been reduced and permission for development has been proposed, the city has been kept in self-destruction mode. Why it has happened? Who is responsible for that? Why citizens are shying away from filling suggestions and objections?

The present draft development plan revolves around two things, one is construction and second is vote bank .If you look at the pace at which the said plan has travelled .one can say that enough time has been taken to negotiate with the "stake holders" . These "stake holders" are different from the real stakeholders i.e. citizen. This has happened because, almost everybody involved in planning of the city is directly or indirectly involved in the business of construction or politics. Hence, utmost care has been taken to protect the interests of these two aspects only. In addition, care has been taken, so that no ordinary citizen would easily understand the development plan and dare to file the suggestion or objection.
